We are pleased to offer you this Victorian walnut credenza, of serpentine shape.
This Victorian cabinet is of serpentine shape, a form that makes this cabinet stand apart from a normal display cabinet.
This Credenza has a serpentine glass door to each end, and then a central panel door, inlaid with a box wood motif to the centre.
The glazed doors to each end have 2 fixed shelves, edged in walnut with a double box line inlay.
The central cupboard door opens to reveal a middle shelf and a good area for storage.
Around the outline of the cabinet, and applied to the cabinet there are cast brass mounts.
Cabinets of this type were made for important houses in the day, the professional classes and the gentry would display such items in areas of the home, that visitors to their home would go sure to see.
