This Victorian mahogany campaign chest was made circa 1875. NOW SOLD
An officer when commissioned would order a military chest to take on his postings abroad.
These are made in 2 parts that allow for easy transportation over land or sea.
The chest with its inset brass flush corners and the brass plate handles.
