Victorian inlaid rosewood writing table
This Victorian inlaid rosewood writing table was made circa 1880.
The desk stands on tapering legs that go down to spade feet with castors under.
The top has a break centre to allow the sitter to get a bit closer to the work surface.
Under the top are 3 drawers, a wide central drawer above the kneehole and a box drawer each side. The end drawers are boxwood strung and the central drawer has an inlaid marquetry panel to the centre.
The leather inset writing surface is the original.
This desk is a very elegant piece of late 19thcentury furniture.
