The table of serpentine outline to all sides is profusely inlaid to each side that is joined by inlaid stringing.
The tapering legs that end with the original china with brass castors, are line inlaid and with inlaid motifs to the top.
The legs are joined by a cross-stretcher that has a turned finial to the centre
This table has the Jas Shoolbread label under, James Shoolbred and Company was a draper and later a department store, located on Tottenham Court Road, London.
The store was established in the 1820s at 155 Tottenham Court Road selling textiles for home furnishing. In the 1870s the store began designing, manufacturing and selling high quality furniture. The company ceased trading in 1931.
