This Victorian brass bound campaign trunk is rare, as it still has a large amount of its original blue paint.
Having large brass corners and straps to protect it on its journeys around the East.
This campaign trunk is made in solid teak, a timber that is perfect for the weather conditions of the East, as well as being resistant to sea water for when it was lashed to the decks of a ship.
A campaign chest of this type was made for an officer to use on campaign. He would have been able to get the majority of items he needed into this, due to its large capacity.
This brass bound military chest would be fantastic to use as a striking coffee table.
