This Set of 6 Regency mahogany dining chairs would have been made circa 1820. Now Sold
Each chair with a drop in Trafalgar seat that are newly upholstered, and it will be easy to replace the material we have used.
They stand on the very desirable sabre front legs.
As they were made in the period where the British were celebrating the Victories over Napoleon this drew the designers to add features of the battles, hence the sabre legs and the Trafalgar seats.
The chairmaker chose high quality dense mahogany to use in the construction of these chairs and so we still can enjoy the wonderful warmth f the timber that comes out.
