This Set of 10 Regency mahogany dining chairs were made circa 1820. NOW SOLD
Each chair with a drop in seat, this allows you to change the material very easily if required.
The set consists of a pair of armchairs and the 8 side chairs.
Each chair has the desirable sabre legs to the front. (this was high fashion in the Regency period as the sabre legs were in celebration of Britain’s victories at Trafalgar and Waterloo) the bar backs with flame mahogany then the chair back with the fine reeds running along the leading edges. Even on the side of the chairs there is fine lines that end in a swirl.
