This Regency red leather camphorwood trunk was made circa 1820. NOW SOLD
Red leather trunks of this style are extremely rare. In over 40 years of trading, I have never had another.
The leather is applied with multiple brass headed studs and it has brass strapping around the edges. The brass strapping was to give this extra protection for this during its journeys by stagecoach, wagon, etc.
This will make a wonderful feature for a room and make a fantastic coffee table.
