Here we have this beautiful Regency bookcase fitted a secretaire drawer.NOW SOLD
This bookcase is of an rare small width and design.
This lovely piece of regency furniture come in 2 pieces for ease of movement. The top with 3 finely turned finials above the flat cornice that has panels of Amboyna with ebony line inlays, as well as cross-banding.
The top with 2 glazed doors with attractive Gothic arch astragals, that open to reveal adjustable shelves.
The top sits on the base section by means of location dowels.
The base with the top drawer fitted with a fall front satinwood secretaire desk, the inset writing surface with blind tooling.
There are 3 graduated drawers are fitted with the original gilt brass handles under the desk section and then stands on the original turned mahogany feet.
