This late Georgian mahogany bow front chest of drawers was made circa 1810. NOW SOLD
Usually these chests have a pair of half drawers at the top, but this example has a full width drawer, that gives you more storage for larger items. The top-drawer has a divider.
It is fitted 4 graduated full width drawers and each drawer is fitted the original turned wooden knob handles. The handles were turned in a high quality hard mahogany and so the definition of the turning stands out more than most you will see.
The chest has splay bracket feet.
Normally we would need to do extensive restoration work to a chest of drawers as they are extensively used in their lifetime, but this example was well cared for and so only sympathetic restoration was done before we were happy to display it in our showrooms and putting the Hingstons plate on it . The chest is lightly faded (it is slightly lighter in colour than the pictures show)

We use a professional Removal company to transport our precious items and do not entrust them to usual parcel services. Therefore, delivery may be 7 -10 days, but it is worth the wait of course.
