Edwardian walnut and leather bergere sofa

This Edwardian walnut bergere sofa would have been made circa 1910. NOW SOLD

The solid walnut frame with double cane sides and a bergere cane back.

This sofa has great shaped arms and carved hand grips. The apron with superb shell carving and with the carved cabriole legs with claw and ball feet.

This sofa having the desirable feature of a central leg.

We have upholstered this in fine leather hide. Once upholstered the leather is hand dyed and then antiqued.

Above the carved apron the leather is secured by multiple brass studs that secure the leather to the frame, each stud is tapped in individually, a time consuming job.

Imagine relaxing on this wonderful sofa, I suspect that there might be a race to get to sit on it first!!!

We use a professional Removal company to transport our precious items and do not entrust them to usual parcel services. Therefore, delivery may be 7 -10 days, but it is worth the wait of course.
