This Edwardian satinwood inlaid duet stool was made circa 1900. NOW SOLD
It was made in one of the best workshops of the day and would have been retailed through one of the best London showrooms.
The Edwardian period is known as the age of elegance and this duet stool is a perfect example to illustrate this.
The duet stool has stunning panels of inlays of oval fans, swags of bellflowers and roundels on all sides. The solid satinwood legs with line of box stringing as well as the dramatic acanthus carving at the top of each leg.
The fully upholstered lid opens to reveal full storage inside.
