This 19thc. inlaid mahogany music stand was made circa 1880.
The hexagonal stand made of mahogany is inlaid with banding, and a tripod splay base.
The music rest is of the very elegant and desirable lyre shape. The adjustable music rest is also finely inlaid with beautifully inlaid designs of flowers, a violin, and a flute.
The rest can be secured in many positions and heights. To adjust it is just by turning a threaded knob to release the rest and for you to slide the brass column up and down accordingly.
