Fine Georgian Oak Pot Board Dresser Base
A beautifully proportioned late Georgian oak pot board dresser base dating from the late 18th century, crafted in richly figured solid oak and retaining wonderful colour and patina throughout.
The dresser features three working drawers across the top frieze, each fitted with attractive brass swan-neck handles and escutcheons. Beneath are two smaller candle or spice drawers positioned to either side, with the central drawer front cleverly designed as a traditional dummy drawer. Decorative shaped arches beneath the drawer arrangement provide elegance and balance, while the turned front supports add further period charm.
The generous pot board shelf offers practical storage and display space, making this piece ideal for use as a kitchen dresser base, sideboard, console table, hallway piece or country house server.
