A superb and highly decorative Regency period mahogany dining table, dating from circa 1820, showcasing elegant proportions and fine craftsmanship throughout.
The beautifully figured mahogany top is enhanced by exceptionally fine brass stringing and brass inlaid decorative motifs, creating a refined and sophisticated appearance synonymous with the finest Regency furniture. The warm mahogany timber displays an attractive grain pattern, whilst the brass inlay provides a striking contrast and luxurious finish.
The table stands on a beautifully turned central pedestal terminating in four elegantly swept splay legs, each enhanced with delicate carved detailing. The legs retain their exquisite cast brass lion’s paw toes and original brass castors, adding both practicality and an impressive decorative element.
