Late Victorian inlaid rosewood music cabinet
This elegant Late Victorian inlaid rosewood music cabinet is a fine example of late 19th-century craftsmanship, dating from around 1890. Beautifully constructed in richly figured rosewood, the cabinet features exquisite satinwood and marquetry inlay to the single front door, displaying intricate floral and ribbon motifs typical of the period.
The cabinet is topped with an attractive shaped gallery incorporating a bevelled mirror, creating both visual interest and functionality. Designed originally for storing sheet music, this versatile antique cabinet is equally suited today as a decorative storage piece in a living room, hallway, study, or music room.
The warm rosewood veneers display stunning grain patterns throughout, while the elegant proportions and refined detailing make this cabinet a highly decorative statement piece. Raised on slender turned feet, it retains all the charm and sophistication associated with quality Victorian furniture.
A desirable and practical antique that combines beautiful craftsmanship with useful storage.
