This Edwardian inlaid mahogany writing table was made circa 1900. NOW SOLD
This is a classic from the ‘Age of elegance’ of the Edwardian era.
It stands on tapering square legs to each corner with the original castors.
The inset leather writing surface to the top with gilt tooled border.
Below the top is a series of drawers, consisting of a wide drawer above the kneehole and box drawers to each side. One of the box drawers is fitted the delightful stationery drawer.
The desk has satinwood and box-wood banding as well as box-wood stringing as well as the original brass handles.
It also is finished to the sides and rear, so that it can stand away from a wall if you so require.
