We are pleased to offer you this Victorian mahogany chiffonier that was made circa 1860. NOW SOLD
The condition and colour of this side cabinet was so good, we felt that it did not need more than a gentle wax polish. It of course still does show signs of its 150 years of wear with minor scratches, but that is minor to its lovely warmth.
The chiffonier is fitted a waterfall shaped full width drawer, that pulls forward to reveal the fine mahogany linings.
Below the drawer is a pair of cupboard doors that open to reveal a full storage area with a shelf.
To each side of the doors are carved corbels.
This side-cabinet is of the better end of the quality scale, and the timber used has more figuring and interest than you normally see on such chiffoniers.
This stands on a plinth base.
This chiffonier cannot be found elsewhere and is unique to us, it is covered by the Hingstons Antiques Brand plate guarantee. Where it has been selected to pass our quality standards to get into our stock.
