Here we have this rare military chest of narrow size.
It would have been made in the late 1800’s for an officer to use on campaign.
The original brass corners and handles were not only for decorative use but mainly for strength during it transportation around the world.
The chest made in 2 parts (made in 2 for ease for transportation)separates at the waist.
The chest is made throughout in mahogany and has turned legs.
